On Sunday We Brunch

Leave a Comment on On Sunday We Brunch

I think a lot of us would agree that Sunday and brunch are just meant for each other. When I have the chance to enjoy a good Sunday brunch I feel like it sets the tone for my whole week to be an enjoyable one. I don’t know, maybe it’s all in my head, but I just love everything about it. When my sister decided she wanted her birthday celebration to be a brunch celebration I was all over it.

She picked the city where she wanted to celebrate and from their my brother and I decided on the place. We always love spending the day in Philly and figured finding an awesome brunch spot wouldn’t be too hard. Finding a spot wasn’t the hard part, it was finding one that would take reservations. Thankfully XIX Nineteen could accommodate us and we couldn’t have been happier.
This place was amazing! Not only was the food delicious but the atmosphere provided amazing views and elegant detail throughout. Gorgeous strings of pearls cascaded from the ceiling which was a center focal point. The terrace that is open seasonally was perfect to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail all while taking in the views, and of course snapping some pictures.

The only down fall was not being able to bring in balloons because they had too many problems previously with them getting lost in their high ceilings. After seeing the place it all made sense but all of my balloon dilemma efforts felt crushed. Side story, I ran around to several places trying to get a two and a five balloon for her. It was pouring the day I went and no one seemed to have a two and a five available. They either had one or the other, not the right color I wanted, or none left at all. Never did I think something so simple as buying numbered balloons would take up my whole lunch hour. Anyway, I finally found them (of course not matching colors but whatever) and got her a gold two and a pink five. She envisioned herself taking a pic out on the terrace with them but that quickly went away since we couldn’t bring them in. So we improvised, and settled for the parking garage. Classy. But no seriously, I happen to think it’s hot a picture. I mean how gorgeous is my sister?!

So this one’s for you, Faith. Even though you’re off enjoying your birthday today on an island (so jealous) and probably won’t see this, I’m wishing you the happiest of birthdays! You’re an amazing sister that’s beautiful both inside and out. I pray that God will continue to pour out his blessings upon you. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become and love every minute we get to spend together. The boys are so blessed to have you as their Auntie and I’m beyond thankful I get to call you my sister. Keep shining, beautiful! Cheers to 25 years <3
