This time of year usually puts me in a better mood and has me looking forward to all things fun. I would be lying though if I didn’t say I am more than anxious for our weather to change so that I can actually enjoy this time of year.
Alright, maybe I need to slow my roll (did I just say that?) a little bit because we’re only about a week into the season. But knowing others are experiencing some nicer weather is giving me all kinds of feelings.
For now, I’m sharing some of my favorites for spring and a mix of things I already own and some that I’m really debating on getting. Oh decisions, decisions.
Why don’t we just start with the elephant in the room, shall we? Maybe there is no elephant in the room, but for me there is. What would that be you say? Ohhh, how about a little something that I haven’t been able to get my hands on which would be those coveted slip on blush sneakers from, cough, cough, Target. I’m not even going to directly link them to my post because if you know what I’m talking about, then you know. And if you don’t I’ll just save you the trouble.
Sometimes I just can’t help myself from rambling on so if you’re up for a little story read on, if not then skip the next two paragraphs. I’ve had my eye on these sneakers since I first saw them floating around in the entice everyone to buy them universe. Sad to admit, I have been stalking Target’s website since I saw them and haven’t been able to add them to my cart. Why would that be? Well, because they aren’t anywhere within a 100 miles of me. That was until last week when it finally let me add them to my cart. I may or may not have blurted out a big old yassss, while I was in my office. Now here comes the kicker, it then asks me to select a store for pickup. Pickup? A lot of you sent me a message when you saw my frustration on my Instagram story and asked why they wouldn’t just ship them to me. That’s a great question, and I wish I had the answer to that. The store that came up as having them in stock wasn’t horribly far from me (or so I thought), and at this point I was already making plans in my head to pick them up after work. Now that I’m typing all of this out it actually sounds kind of pathetic, because if you think about it, it’s only sneakers (no judgments please).
I got the email that my order was confirmed, only to read it further and found out there are in fact two Riverdale stores—well of course there are. Wouldn’t you know the one these shoes were at was not around me but happened to be in Queens NY. Yeah, that wasn’t happening. Until a light bulb went off…my brother! Anyone who might be reading this and knows my brother wouldn’t find it odd that he might randomly been in the Queens area. Sure enough he was, and I was back to doing my happy dance because he said he would pick them up for me. Well here comes the part where salt is just dumped all over this wound. On his way to go pick them up I get another email telling me that those shoes are in fact not available at that location and that I have to pick another location. Well that’s not going to work because there are no other locations available or that would work for me in the area. So I’m officially done and over it. Those shoes are a thing of the past and I am moving on to doing more important things with my time.
I came across a similar pair of blush slip ons that I might consider but now at this point I don’t even know how I feel about this whole thing. I do already have these fun espadrilles (currently on sale) that I am just waiting to get more wear out of.
I am already loving my blush laser cut flats so maybe that’s just where I’ll get my blush fix in. I’m also considering these laser cut moccasins because they look really comfortable and are really cute too.
I’m also loving this time of year to continue wearing my stay white jeans and the gingham trend is something I might be jumping on. I’m really liking this cold shoulder top and can just envision it with my white jeans.
I’m also loving some fun spring accessories. My friend got me a mantra bracelet that I love wearing and I’m thinking about getting this one too, because #blessed. I also enjoy a good baseball cap especially to hide those bad hair days, and in general I think they look great with a cute casual look. Now, this is another I’m not so sure if I want to purchase item but it’s an all up in my face product. I’m sure you’ve probably seen this pom pom clutch floating around. It’s really cute and very trendy, but I don’t know how functional it would be for me or how comfortable it would be carrying around that straw. I’m going to have to sleep on this one but it’s so tempting, especially with our vacation coming up.
