I realized if someone were to ask me to define my clothing style I would have a really hard time coming up with the answer. I don’t really think I have a specific style or typical look which on most days makes getting ready easy but hard at the same time. That probably made no sense. What I mean is, I have a bunch of things I can mix and match from casual to dressy, but sometimes I wish I had that uniform look so I knew what to reach for in my closet.
I enjoy wearing dresses, and if it’s on the causal side that’s always a good thing for me. When I came across this dress I knew I had to have it. At first I wasn’t sure about the slit and sometimes with maxi dresses I can feel lost in them. But, the slit and the drawstring helps break up the structure of this dress so I don’t feel drowned out in it. Thankfully it was also the perfect length for me (I’m wearing a size small).
Over the weekend we took advantage of the beautiful weather and took the nuggets to the park to see the cherry blossoms. It was finally warm enough and felt like the perfect place for me to wear my new dress. Mama still needs some sun though because I’m pretty sure I look like I’m glowing (and not in a good way) in some of these pics.
Wouldn’t you know, the slit made it even easier for me to run around and keep up with the nuggets, and even better—there was no flashing involved.
I really think I’ll be living in this dress all spring and summer because it’s seriously the softest material, ever. I really wish you could touch it to see for yourself.
