We have a lot going on this weekend but all fun things that I’m really looking forward to. I’ll be celebrating my birthday with some of my closest friends at a pop-up gala, basically dinner en blanc (ever heard of it?), but on a local scale. We’re also taking the boys to another amusement park and then my sister and I are off to NYFW. Word on the street is we might be getting access to go backstage. I’m sure I will be sharing some of the fun so be sure to follow along on my instagram (@beautifully_candid) if you want to catch a peek.
A quick airstream update, we are looking forward to starting renovations next week and have ordered a few things that we are waiting to come in. After I shared our picture, Airstream Inc. reached out and mentioned that once we decided on a name we could have it officially registered. How cool is that?! We shared our top three picks on my insta stories last night so be sure to head on over and check it out (while it’s still up there and you can see A mimicking me, pretty funny) and send me a message with your vote. Ok enough insta plugs, let’s get onto my favorites, shall we…
1. Beach: how could this not be my number one? Our happy place, our place of so many memories, sand, sun, and all the fun. We soaked up every last bit that we could enjoy and it was wonderful.
2. Summer thoughts: speaking of beach and soaking up the last bit of summer, I shared some of my thoughts on this summer. We came across this beautiful wall mural up on the boardwalk that shows the roller coaster at the bottom of the sea after hurricane Sandy. With the recent devastation of Harvey and Irma affecting Florida, it really makes you appreciate and realize the important things in life. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected <3
4. Haircut: A had been asking Eric to take him to the barber with him the next time he goes because he wanted to get a big boy haircut. Usually Eric just cuts it in the backyard for them because their hair grows crazy fast. Since he had been asking, we decided to take him so he could see what it was all about. A few tears happened before he got in the chair but once he was up there with that cape on he did such a good job! I can’t believe he is going to be 4 next month. Time, please slow down.
