If you’ve been following this little space of mine then you know that I have a little thing for colorful wall murals. It’s to the point that if we happen to come across one while we’re driving around I’m asking my husband to pull over, regardless of what I’m wearing, to take some pictures. They’re just so bright, so fun, make for a great picture backdrop, and usually have a story behind them.

When I got the notification that LiketoKnow.it was putting up a temporary wall mural in NYC around the time of fashion week, I knew I wanted to visit it. Their seeing he(art)s wall will be there until October 7th at 102 Ludlow Street in the lower east side. If you’re in the area it’s a fun place to check out and snap a few pictures.
Now let’s talk about the fun trend that’s been going on with all of the dramatic sleeves. At first I didn’t think I would be into them, but after trying a few on and seeing how much they add to an outfit, I’ve been hooked. Ruffled sleeves, balloon sleeves, puffy sleeves, bell sleeves—give me all the sleeves, please. I picked up this top and I loved it as soon as I put it on. I really like the cuff at the bottom of the sleeve and the subtle pearl accent. Speaking of pearl accents, I’ve been seeing a lot more of them popping up that has me thinking they might be making their way into the fall season.
Confession, over the years I think the biggest wardrobe challenge for me has been branching out and getting more adventurous with my tops. Every year I feel like it’s the same thing with just standard sweaters (which is not a bad thing at all) and simple long sleeve shirts. I think I’ve just been very comfortable, which will always be a style I love, but it’s nice to change it up a bit and feel like I have a little variety to work with. So what about you, are you into the whole sleeve trend or do you stick to the basic fall essentials?

Now onto some fun…

I’m so excited to be co-hosting On Mondays We Link-up with Roxanne from Glass of Glam. I’ve been following Roxanne for awhile now and I love her style and all of the fun tips she shares. If you aren’t familiar with her link up, it’s a weekly fashion inspired link up where you can visit other bloggers, see their style, and get some new ideas of your own, all while meeting new bloggers and gaining some followers! We’d love for you to join us.
My favorite look from last week was from Bo’s Bodacious Blog.

I loved her pretty embroidered skirt that she showed us three different ways of styling it. Her fun striped top is definitely something I would wear too.
