Fall Staples With PinkBlush

I may be a summer loving girl through and through, but if I had to pick a second favorite season, fall would definitely be it. In fact, it’s actually my favorite season for fashion. I love cozying up with sweaters, wearing fall booties, and adding in some fun accessories. There is just something about all of the fall feels and fun family activities around this time of year that get me every time. We may have visited the pumpkin patch a ton of times this season (which I’m not sorry about) because the memories and smiles we saw from the boys made every basic fall activity so special.

I’m excited to share with you three different fall looks that I love to incorporate into my wardrobe and to tell you a little bit more about why I consider these some of my favorite staple pieces. 

Since the weather can be so up and down during the fall, one of the things I reach for first is a cozy cardigan. I love long cardigans and what they can add to a simple outfit. This mocha color is a great transition for fall and the extra soft feel of the fabric makes it perfect for being cozy. And bonus points, it has pockets! I also love the versatility of a cardigan and being able to wear it with any outfit yet each time bringing a new feel and look to it with accessories or different outfit options.

I also love sweater dresses for the fall and specifically for wearing them to the office. They are also great for those in between days or when it gets even cooler to wear with tights or leggings. I love wearing them with booties but when it gets even cooler I also like to wear them with my riding boots. The cutout detail at the top of this dress adds a little something extra to it and also gives it a trendy feel.

It’s no secret around here that I love a good plaid print, and if you follow me on instagram (@beautifully_candid) than you’ve probably seen that we are a plaid loving family. There is something about this print that has fall and the holiday season written all over it for me. When I saw this top I knew I had to have it. Navy is one of my favorite colors for the season so when it combined two of my favorite things, I couldn’t add it to my cart fast enough. The boys also love wearing plaid and when we took pictures here and they saw all of the rocks, they thought I was the coolest mom ever, well at least for a second. Because what’s better than rocks to little boys? Nothing. Ok, maybe sticks and all things gross, but rocks are a huge favorite for them.
