1. A Turned Five:
We had a great time celebrating him with his special reptile themed party and a special birthday dinner request of mac n cheese, broccoli, and carrots on his actual day. I rushed home on my lunch break and decorated the table for him and picked up a mini cake. We also had some extra gifts for him and made him go through all of the clothes until he got to some of his goodies at the end. He’s been asking for a hedgehog, which isn’t happening right now. But I did find one at Hobby Lobby in their fall section which was perfect to get him for the time being until the real one comes. One day.

3. A Day To Myself:
I need to use some of my time before my anniversary date so I decided to take off yesterday. I got my hair cut, went and got my nails done, and even sat in my backyard and got to read a little. It kind of felt surreal. I haven’t had time to myself like that in I can’t even remember how long. If only this could be a regular thing I’d be one relaxed mama.
4. Baby Things:
I hit up Target’s clearance sale and picked up a few things for baby boy. We do have a lot we can use from the boys that we’ve saved, but now that it’s gone through two of them, some of the things could stand some updating. Plus I can’t help but get some new things for him. I’d also love to hear if you have any small shops you like shopping from or any other favorites for baby clothes?
5. Trader Joe’s:
I indulged in all the pumpkin things at Trader Joe’s this week. I mean, it is around for a limited time so I couldn’t help myself. And boy oh boy are those Joe Joe’s addicting. They are really good and we’ve had to limit ourselves to eating two of them at a time or we’d probably eat the whole box. Also not pictured (I put them in the fridge already) are the butternut raviolis. What are some of your Trader Joe’s seasonal favorites?
