Elf On The Shelf Welcome Back Breakfast

He’s back! Alvin made his return on Saturday with a holly jolly breakfast this year. We loved seeing A’s face light up when he saw Alvin was back and all the fun things he brought with him for a very special breakfast. Little nugget didn’t really know what was going on but he sure had himself a great time and I can’t wait until next year when they’ll both be talking to their elf friend.
Last year Alvin’s Welcome Breakfast was a pancakes and pajamas party but this year he brought along with him a holly jolly feel. The nuggets enjoyed some fun festive ears to wear, light up snowmen (target dollar spot, didn’t you know elves shop there too?!) and a little something extra to unwrap.
We enjoyed fun snowmen pancakes but what I really think the nuggets enjoyed were the snow tube donuts. In fact, I know that little nugget did because he started crying after we had to cut him off. He kept calling them cookies and it happened to be the cutest thing ever. A also loved the fun peppermint candy canes and at one point I’m not sure if they knew what to eat first. Correction, A was all about the marshmallows and he did make it his priority to eat all of them from the table.
This is such a fun family tradition that we enjoy doing with the boys and creating fun memories. Don’t get me wrong, we still make sure our priority is to teach them the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of giving back. Our friend Alvin just makes this time of year extra fun and also adds some valuable learning lessons about listening to your parents and doing the right thing. We can’t wait to see all the silly things he gets into this year.
