Friday Favorites-We’re Back

Happy Friday friends, and happy Cino de Mayo! I hope everyone had a great week. We are back from our trip to Curacao and had such a good time! It’s always so sad when a vacation comes to an end but always great to carry those memories with you. 

We did so many fun things that I decided to do something a little different and will be do several separate posts for some of our adventures. I know sometimes I get lost in really long posts so I want to be able to have these things documented but not feel like I need to leave things out. If you get sick of them I won’t hold you to it, but of course I would love for you to relive some of these memories with us. 

even though we had a short work week I’m already looking forward to the weekend. We might venture out for some tacos tonight but that will all depend on the wait times with the nuggets. I’ll also be celebrating round two of my friends bachelorette party this weekend which I’m sure will be another fun time.

Here’s a look at some of my favorites from the week…

Vacation: well of course this had to be my number one! Oh how I miss that beautiful Caribbean water already and those wonderful warm temperatures. The nuggets overall did really well with traveling and I am so thankful for a double stroller that got us around the airport and resort. My heart couldn’t get enough of watching the nuggets playing in the sand and laughing with each other. 

Everyone keeps joking around and asking if Eric and had a chance to relax. The answer to that is, yes and no. It wasn’t a draining vacation by any means and I certainly don’t feel like I need a vacation from my vacation, but with two small children we aren’t able to nap on the beach like we used to and always need to be on point when we are around water with them.

 

Side note, getting strangers to take a family pic of you is no easy task. I kind of regret not pulling out our phone and having someone take a few on there because everyone gets all weird when you hand them a camera now a days, and if they have to look through a viewfinder—forget about it. Poor Eric’s head is always cut off. Oh well, you live and you learn.

2. GoPro Hero 5: I dropped a few hints here and there that it would be awesome to one day get a GoPro. Let’s face it, I’m a picture loving maniac over here and being able to take underwater pics and capture things that I normally can’t just sounds awesome to me. Well the amazing husband that I have completely surprised me with one. When we got to our resort and I opened our suitcase to start unpacking things, I found this in there with a little note. We had so much fun using it and were really amazed at how you can take it from land to water without skipping a beat. It even has sound underwater…so cool!

3. Fur baby: as much as we love traveling and going on new adventures it’s always a great feeling to come home to this smiling face. He was in the best hands with my Mom taking care of him but the boys really started to miss him. One night A actually started crying for him. When we got home we made sure to give him some extra treats and loving.

4. Sandals: I realized a lot of my sandals for the summer are darker colors and since blush is such a popular color right now I couldn’t pass these up (currently on sale and free shipping). They also come in two other colors if you aren’t feeling the lighter ones.

I have a confession to make (which I might have spilled this already but I can’t remember…mom brain), whenever a website offers free gift wrapping I take full advantage of it. There’s something about getting a package in the mail with pretty wrapping and the excitement of opening it up. It’s the little things that get me happy. I’ll even send myself a little note saying things like, you work hard, you deserve this. Maybe it’s just me but I figure, why not?
