1. Watermelon fun:
I’m one of those people that thinks certain foods just taste better during different seasons, like soup, it needs to be in the fall or winter. The same goes for watermelon. I know, I know, that’s when it’s ripe and fresh, but there’s nothing like eating it outside and seeing your kids have it dripped all over their face.
2. Airstream update:
So the weeks just keep on flying by and we still don’t have our Airstream done. I feel really bad because at this point all of the work is basically put on Eric because I’m not lifting much, or doing much of anything. I am really good at supervising though. We did get the backsplash up in the kitchen part and and he was able to do some custom work to get the counter secured on the other side of the kitchen. Our awesome fridge that we got sat up a little higher than the cabinets (which we knew when ordering it) so he had to do some customization to make everything level. Of course we ended up being a few pieces short for the backsplash and are waiting for that to come in. We went with a stick tile to cut down on extra weight and also so we didn’t have to worry about using grout. We heard that a lot of trailers that people actually trail and don’t keep stationary, see that the grout cracks over time from hitting bumps. We made a promise to ourselves that we will have this on the road at some point this summer.
3. Naples:
I’m finally getting around to sharing some of our fun from our trip to Italy. Naples was our first stop so it seemed like a good starting point to share. We enjoyed exploring the city and finding some of the best pizza in the world! The boys were amazing little travelers and might have had just as much fun, if not more, than we did. I was putting little nugget to bed this week and he said, mama, we have two houses. I said, is that so? Which ones are you talking about? He said, our house here and the one we have in Italy, you know, where all the ice cream is. Can we go back and stay there, mama? Seriously, melt my heart. I wish I could take him to Italy all the time for gelato. You can read more about our adventures here.
4. Strawberry picking and Father’s Day:
We were able to squeeze in some strawberry picking and celebrated Father’s Day on a hot summer’s day. They didn’t last too long in our house and we all sure enjoyed eating them. My mom came over this week and treated us to some homemade crepes. So good!

I can’t believe 4th of July will be here before we know it. I always enjoy getting a little festive and sporting some red, white, and blue around this time. This year it might be a little more challenging with a growing belly, but I think I found some cute options for everyone. I love this dress and think it would be really comfortable, plus stripes seem to be a go-to for me. I also thought this maternity tee was really fun, and since we’ll be at the beach the week of the 4th, I thought it could be cute to get a few different outfit options. I love this tank for the boys which they can wear all summer and also this fun tee. I can’t forget Eric, so a basic tank that he can also wear again will work for him. Here’s a look at some of our previous outfits. I’m determined to get little nugget back in that captains hat. Gosh, can I just eat him!
